Making Me Happy

Here's a fun little idea I got from Naomi Davis' blog: a list of 10 things currently making you happy. What a wonderful way to get rid of any remains of a bad day, or even just to realize the little things in life that make you happy. 


Here's my list:

1. Fall scarves and boots and jackets, oh my!
2. Homemade blueberry smoothies - fantastic for curbing those sweet cravings that come far too often.
3. September is over - 7 more months until I have a Bachelor's Degree (finally)!!!
4. Modern Family - for every 2 hours of studying, I get to watch 1/2 of an episode. Don't laugh, it works.
5. Dogs.
6. Road trips with friends.
7. Good, hilarious, loving friends.
8. The endless support I receive from my parents. I don't want to get TOO sappy, but... <3
9. Tea.
10. Blogs.

Tuesday

The fall weather has definitely come to Vancouver and out come the umbrellas! It was supposed to rain today but it ended up being partly cloudy. I opted for layers today and even tried my hand at outfit-of-the-day pictures on my patio. Enjoy! 

PS. Review on A Raisin in the Sun is coming, I swear.

Tune Tuesday

Happy Tuesday! 

Side note: Sometimes I feel like Tuesday is worse than Monday ONLY because I tend to feel very optimistic on Mondays, like I can take over the world or something. But alas, as I crawl into bed on Monday night, I realize that there are 4 more days until the weekend. Now that I've depressed you, shall we get to the tunes? 

I started Tune Tuesday on my Tumblr and I'm bringing it over here. Basically it's exactly how the title sounds: TUNES on TUESDAYS! I love music and sharing new bands/songs/albums/instruments (really) with people, so where's a better place to share than a blog? Exactly.

What's To Come?!

Hopefully I've intrigued you with my first post. If not, here's what I've got planned for this little blog of mine: Travel, lifestyle, cooking/baking, literature, fashion, beauty... and most likely everything else. 

I'm a huge fan of blogs and I aspire to write great content for a blog that can be enjoyed by everyone. Social Media and the internet is taking over my life in a way I never imagined. I didn't think I'd ever start a blog or enjoy reading other blogs so much. Future post: blogs I love.

A Raisin in the Sun - Lorraine Hansberry

I'm starting this blog to write reviews on basically everything and anything. My main focus will be literature.
